Our Artists
Molly McCracken
Molly is a mixed media collage artist. She works with ideas surrounding women, the environment, current events, as well as deep rooted, personal feelings and emotions. Her thoughts are expressed in an intuitive, childlike, often humorous way through process-driven art. Molly’s inspiration springs from bold colors, interesting shapes, joy, frustration, beauty, anxiety and the wonder in everyday moments.

Casey Wait
Casey is an abstract and figurative mixed media artist. An artist and a pastor (John Calvin Presbyterian Church, Annandale), she loves the profound and the playful in equal measure. Casey’s pieces often reflect her desire to hold fast to what is good and joyful. Joy can show up in bright color, odd pairings, and moments that don’t take themselves too seriously. Casey is also the Creative Director of The Community Studio in Annandale.

Over the past several years, Pam has organized and juried shows in Virginia, including most recently at Falls Church Arts and the Fredericksburg Center for the Creative Arts. Pam is a docent with the Smithsonian American Art Museum and its Renwick Gallery where she studies American art and leads tours where visitors look at, think about and discuss art and craft from the collection. Casey Thompson
Casey Thompson is both a painter and the pastor of Idylwood Presbyterian Church, which hosts Idylwood Studios on its upper floor. He does not usually set out to paint religious subjects but often the canvas becomes a small act of sustained attention, an analogue for prayer. The process of painting then becomes far more significant to him than the product. His subjects are almost always faces, humanity at its most unguarded.
